Playdate Digest #3, the latest issue of the zine by 6AT0, features this great ad for Cat World (also drawn by 6AT0!) that I just had to share with you all. I recommend downloading (or buying) the full thing for a bunch more great features and artwork.

Is Ember’s fiery colouring canon? Sort of. Back when I was 12 and imagined Cat World as more of an adventure game, Ember had literal flame powers. Here’s some concept art I pulled from my childhood sketches.

Btw, I spent some time on chapter two this weekend, but it’s going to take a little longer as I’m splitting my time between that and another Playdate game — a port of my web game Skwish (well, that and work, sleep, exercise, etc). They will both be worth the wait, I hope!
